COMMERCIAL & ARCHITECTURAL CONCRETE

BESPOKE CONCRETE FOR RESTAURANTS, BARS, RETAIL AND HOSPITALITY

Fluid Stone Studio designs and manufactures bespoke architectural concrete for commercial interiors throughout the UK. We work with architects, interior designers, hospitality groups, shopfitting contractors and specialist fabricators to produce concrete bars and counters, worktops, reception desks, communal tables, basins, stairs, terrazzo and other custom precast elements.

Every project is made individually in our North Wales workshop. Colours, aggregates, textures, edge profiles and surface finishes can be developed specifically for the wider interior scheme, allowing concrete to form an integral part of the architecture rather than simply being added as a surface material.

From Concept to Installation

Commercial projects often demand far more than simply producing a concrete surface. We can work from architectural drawings and design intent through to material sampling, colour development, prototypes and mock-ups, mould making, fabrication, finishing and installation.

Large or technically challenging elements can be engineered as modular assemblies to simplify manufacture, access, transport and site installation while retaining the appearance and solidity of a substantial monolithic concrete piece. We created a bespoke concrete reception desk for PlayStation Liverpool using this same technique to fabricate large concrete shells.

Our experience includes restaurants, bars, cafés, gyms, markets, retail and hospitality interiors throughout the UK, including major projects in London, Liverpool, Manchester and other cities.

Working with Architects, Designers & Contractors

We are happy to become involved at an early stage of a project, when material choices and construction details are still being developed. This allows practical considerations such as weight, supporting structures, joint positions, mouldability, reinforcement, access and installation to be resolved before the final specification is issued.

We can work from architectural drawings, CAD files, schedules, sketches or initial design concepts, and can produce physical samples and prototypes where colour, texture or an unusual detail needs to be approved before production.

Whether the requirement is a single bespoke architectural element or a coordinated package of concrete pieces across a larger commercial interior, our aim is to develop a practical fabrication solution while preserving the original design intent.
